James M. Desmond, CFA

Since December 2018, Jim Desmond has served as member of the Catholic Foundation Board. Jim is a member of St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Clearwater, and is a member of the St. Cecelia Finance Committee, also serving as a lector, sacristan and lay eucharistic minister. He is also a 15-year volunteer for Kairos Prison Ministry having served on 22 Kairos weekends. Jim is on the Governance Board of the Tampa Metropolitan YMCA and serves as the organization’s Endowment fund chairman. Professionally, Jim is a Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager for Fifth Third Private Bank since 2010, where he manages investment portfolios for high net worth individuals. He has been married to Joyce Desmond for 31 years. They have two grown children, Sean and Lauren.
