(01/24/2008) "I've never been so happy in all my life." said Marilyn Smith, 62, (cq) minutes after her bed; couch and table were delivered to her new home at John Knox apartments in St. Petersburg. Smith was one of the first to move into Pinellas Hope an outdoor tent facility for homeless in unincorporated Pinellas. Last Thursday she proudly moved into her own apartment with her husband Frank Cunnane, 53 (cq). Smith a native of Pennsylvania worked since she was 16-years-old, with 17 years at Keystone Lighting and used her retirement money to qualify and pay for the HUD housing apartment. Catholic Charities donated the furniture. (Willie J. Allen Jr. | Times)
